Pat.  It is pot metal and while most stones still sparkling brightly, there are a few missing (easy repair - I may have it done but price will be reflected).   The photo does not do this justice.   There are four baguette stones in the center and they are bright and shining.  There are three stones missing and approx. 4 that are darkened.
