I could try to attribute this gorgeous gold washed emerald rhinestone
fur clip but alas, it is unsigned but designer quality. The
large emerald chatons are all prong set and are embedded beneath the
graceful leaves that pour over the sides and back of this beautifully
pronged specimen. The prongs are so well done that I'd entrust
a diamond to them, yet this fur clip bears no mark, not even the mark of
sterling.... Atop the array of 6 large
chatons, lays a rosette of prong set clear stones, which I recall
was a design character of someone but I can't recall. So you be the
judge. Metal has the same feel as Trifarium. There is
one pindot at the bottom backwards curve of the back (center) leaf that
seems to be marred a bit but this does not detract in any way.
Alas, that is the only area that the gold wash seems to have been worn,
and from wear of course. The fur clip measures 2 1/2"
inches long x 1 1/4" inches at the widest area. |
